Cheese Ball

A classic cheese ball featuring a creamy blend of cheeses and herbs, perfect as an appetizer for gatherings and parties.

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper.
  2. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Place the chopped pecans or walnuts on a large plate or shallow dish.
  4. Shape the cheese mixture into a ball using your hands.
  5. Roll the cheese ball in the chopped nuts until evenly coated on all sides.
  6. Wrap the cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.
  7. Before serving, garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve with crackers or fresh vegetables.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of smoked paprika or a splash of hot sauce to the cheese mixture before rolling.
