Freshly prepared crab salad on white plate

A refreshing crab salad combining tender crab meat with crisp vegetables and a light, zesty dressing, perfect for a healthy lunch or a light dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fresh crab meat
  • 1 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, gently combine the crab meat, celery, red bell pepper, and green onions.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the crab mixture and carefully toss to combine without breaking up the crab meat.
  4. Sprinkle with fresh dill and adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve on a bed of lettuce, in a sandwich, or with crackers as desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of Old Bay seasoning or serve with avocado slices for creaminess.
