Honey Garlic Meatballs

Deliciously tender meatballs glazed in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect as an appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (for sauce)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, minced garlic, egg, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake meatballs for 15-20 minutes until cooked through and lightly browned.
  5. While meatballs bake, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Add minced garlic for the sauce and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  7. Stir in honey and soy sauce, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  8. Add cooked meatballs to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. If sauce is thin, add cornstarch slurry to thicken, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
  9. Serve meatballs warm, garnished with chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For an extra kick, sprinkle red pepper flakes into the sauce or serve over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
