Jalapeno Popper Pinwheels

These Jalapeno Popper Pinwheels are a spicy, creamy appetizer featuring jalapenos, cream cheese, and crispy baked dough, perfect for parties or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 jalapenos, seeded and finely chopped
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chopped jalapenos, crumbled bacon, chives, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Spread the cheese and jalapeno mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Starting from one edge, carefully roll the pastry into a tight log.
  6. Slice the log into 1/2-inch thick pinwheels and place them cut-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until pinwheels are puffed and golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

For extra heat, leave some jalapeno seeds in the mixture or serve with a spicy dipping sauce.
