These Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are tender, juicy thinly sliced steak with sautéed onions and melted cheese, served on soft slider buns for a perfect appetizer or party snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup green bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 8 slider buns
  • 4 slices provolone cheese, halved
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onions (and bell peppers if using) and sauté until softened and caramelized, about 8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add remaining oil and sear the thinly sliced ribeye steak, seasoning with salt and black pepper, cooking until just browned, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the sautéed onions and peppers back to the skillet with the steak and stir to combine.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves on a baking sheet.
  5. Distribute the steak mixture evenly over the bottom buns. Top each with a piece of provolone cheese.
  6. Place the top buns over the cheese, brush the tops with melted butter, and cover loosely with foil.
  7. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy your Philly Cheesesteak Sliders!

Notes

For an extra kick, add a few dashes of hot sauce or pickled jalapeños to the sliders before serving.
